Digital Collage

From album art and sci-fi novel covers, to political statements and surreal explorations into the meaning of image itself, collage art has always had an important place in modern culture. In this class, students will learn a variety of digital methods for manipulating images, collaging them in new and interesting ways, and presenting compositions to peers and institutions alike. By the end of the class students will be confident in the basics of using a raster graphics editor, understanding how to edit images as both data and composition, and ultimately how to present their compositions for web platforms.
