Pen Drawing

Learn various pen marking techniques to create 2D patterns and textures covering 3D forms to create tone and texture with line. Through a variety of exercises learn techniques referenced from Master prints and ink drawings to contemporary artists using pens. A range of subject material will be introduced weekly, and drawings will cover realistic, abstract design, portrait and landscape styles referencing past and present artists. Pen use will include color and brush as well as black ink. Weekly reference photos, Padlet page for student images and videos will be provided.
