No Class: 7/4/25 (Indépendance Day)

How can visual elements be best arranged to convey an idea? Generations of illustrators, directors, cartoonists, and mangaka have spent their careers solving this problem in various clever ways. In this class we will examine the techniques these artists use to create gripping, effective compositions, and put them into practice through drawing our own stories. We'll work on clearly communicating action and atmosphere in single images and in sequences. Along the way we'll practice drawing environments and figures in perspective--and of course, we'll have a good time!
