Jess Griffith grew up in a family of painters and designers in the Pacific Northwest. She started learning watercolor at the age of 8 and received her Bachelor of Arts with a Studio Art emphasis in Seattle. Jess also studied at the New York Center for Art and Media studies where she honed her studio practice. Jess has taught art and craft to youth and adults at various institutions, including the Frye Art Museum. Jess lives in Burien with her husband, son, two cats, and three chickens.
