Melia is an interdisciplinary artist currently based out of Seattle. Her work and interests span from painting, sculpture, installation and drawing to free form and structured movement practices and performance. She currently studies visual art at the Contemporary Atelier at Gage Academy of Art. Alongside her art practice, Melia is informed by her years long work as a Disability Support Partner where she empowers youth on the autism spectrum as an advocate, ally and care-giver. She is passionate about expanding access to the arts for this community and works to support artistic inquiry in the children and families she works with.
