Summer is a great time to be outside and sketch outdoors in the North Capitol Hill neighborhood. Learn the fundamentals of working quickly on location using watercolor, ink, and other materials. Each day we'll split our time between the classroom and the streets and parks to explore urban and natural landmarks. You'll develop your unique style with quick mixed-media studies and learn how to capture the world around you with accuracy and personality.

Gage Academy of Art acknowledges the Coast Salish Peoples as the original inhabitants of this area and connecting waterways. We understand the land that Gage occupies is unceded territory and that today many Indigenous peoples live here and without their stewardship, we would not have access to this space.
