2-Part Summer Camp: Art AND Movement!

Face Off! Mask Making, Duality and Storytelling with Lara Kaminoff

Each student will design and create two paper mache masks based on a chosen duality (ex: water vs fire, organization vs chaos, funny vs serious etc). As each mask emerges so will its character and backstory. Drying times will be used to dig deeper into some classic archetypes: what does it mean to YOU to be a hero? A villian? Is night bad and daytime good? Why are we inclined to see things as black and white? Is there space to question our assumptions and tell bigger, messier, and more compassionate stories?

Parkour with Parkour Visions

The movement component of this camp is offered in partnership with Parkour Visions! Parkour Visions helps people overcome barriers through movement and play and will be leading the movement portion, taught alongside one of our wonderful youth art instructors.

To keep everyone safe, we will be limiting the number of students in this class.

Our high-energy, interactive classes will have your student jumping, climbing, swinging, rolling, and crawling around your local park! Through fun games, safe quality instruction, and supervised free play, we teach how to overcome fear, set goals, collaborate, and creatively problem-solve. Whether your student is a first-timer or a dedicated practitioner, these classes are perfect for improving movement and making friends.

Classes include a group warm-up, falling safety instruction, skill technique practice, movement games, and obstacle coursing.
