Figure Foundation Drawing - Artistic Anatomy
In the second installment of our three-part foundation series, students will immerse themselves in the intricacies of figure anatomy and proportion. Guided by live models, the journey begins with simple yet expressive gesture drawings, gradually progressing towards the creation of more intricate, convincing, and captivating three-dimensional figure renderings.
Throughout this quarter, students will seize the opportunity to study and incorporate the nuances of superficial muscles and bony landmarks into their artwork. Furthermore, they will refine their techniques for portraying foreshortened figures while honing their observational skills, measuring techniques, and rendering abilities.
Each stage of this learning process is designed to build upon the previous one, ultimately equipping students with the skills, confidence, and artistic capacity needed to produce truly compelling and beautiful figure drawing.
