Day At The Museum: Drawing at SAM

This one-day museum immersion allows students a unique opportunity to engage with art directly, observing and connecting with masterpieces up close. Drawing in a museum sparks creativity by encouraging participants to study composition, form, and ideas in real-time. This practice fosters a call and response between works hanging in museums and an artist's studio practice. In this course, students will develop mindfulness and focus, enabling them to gain a deeper appreciation for art history while finding their place in it.
