In this 5-week online class, we will take foundational techniques to the next level. Learn more about the properties of your pigments in order to create interesting color palettes and to replicate colors from nature. Practice creating even washes and using glazes of color in your watercolor paintings. Explore wet-on-wet techniques to create softer edges in your work…and more. All techniques will be demonstrated and include hands-on exercises. Classes will be supplemented with slide presentations, demo recordings, handouts, and group critiques of work done in and out of class.
Beginning watercolor experience is necessary.
