Empower youth through art

Invest in the future of art and the artists who will shape it.

Imagine being a teenager navigating identity, stress, and uncertainty in a world that often overlooks you. Now imagine finding a space where your voice matters and your creativity is celebrated. At Gage Academy of Art, we create that space.

Your gift makes this space possible. More than art supplies or studios, you're investing in equity, opportunity, and the next generation.

Our youth programs are designed for teens, especially BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth, who face systemic barriers and the lingering effects of the pandemic. Through art, they find healing, confidence, and community. They don’t just learn to draw or paint—they learn to lead, to express, and to believe in themselves.

We are seeking financial support for 3 core programs:

Teen Art Studios (TAS)

Friday evenings | 3 locations

Free drop-in art spaces that foster creativity and connection. Youth have access to workshops & classes, mentorship with professional artists, exhibitions and showcases, and life skills development. Our studios serve 1,500 students (500 per location).

Youth Arts Advisory Board (YAAB)

New! Launches Fall 2025 | Monthly board meetings | Quarterly open sessions

A leadership platform for teens to shape programs and advocate for their peers. Free to participate, youth receive leading training and mentorship, attend advisory meetings, lead their own projects, and practice advocacy. Cohort includes 8-15 youth leaders.

Youth Atelier (YA)

Launches Fall 2026 | 5 hours/week | 10-week sessions | 3x a year

An advanced, immersive program preparing youth for college and careers in the arts. Includes studio practice in multiple mediums, portfolio development, one-on-one artist mentorship, and critiques, exhibitions, and field trips. Each cohort includes 13-15 students. Atelier participation is subsidized.
