In this course you will deepen your understanding of watercolor by exploring different styles, inspirations, tools, techniques, and special effects. Think of it as a wonderful watercolor testing lab where you’ll learn, explore, and experiment with this magical medium under the guidance of an expert watercolor enthusiast. Paint feathers, abstract, modern still life, and illustrations. Each week you'll create a new watercolor building upon different techniques or art prompts designed to demystify the process and help you on your artistic journey.

Required Supplies

Supply List: • 140lb cold press watercolor paper Recommended: 9x12 Winsor & Newton cotton watercolor block. • Watercolor paints, artist quality. • 1 tube of permanent white gouache • Assorted round watercolor brushes assorted sizes 2-6. Recommended: Princeton Select series round. • 1 flat watercolor wash brush size 1 inch. Recommended: Princeton Select synthetic flat • 1 pencil • 1 roll artist's tape Recommended: Scotch Delicate Surface Painter's Washi Tape .7 • Paper towels • Scissors • masking fluid/liquid frisket • 1 container for water
