A Year of Art and Access

Letter from Kathleen Allen, Executive Director | November 6, 2025

A little more than a year ago, Gage moved into our new South Lake Union campus. With your support, we’ve built something remarkable. In 2025, more than 3,000 students participated in our programs. We hosted exhibitions, partnered with local organizations, and helped bring new energy to downtown Seattle.

This progress reflects our shared commitment to creativity, community, and access.

Looking ahead, we are launching new initiatives that deepen our collective impact: youth leadership and pre-professional programs, workplace partnerships, and expanded space rentals. These efforts will strengthen Gage’s role as a creative and inclusive hub for the region.

We’re proud to share the 2024–25 Impact Report, highlighting the milestones we’ve reached together, and the momentum we're building for what’s next.

Removing barriers to access

With your input, we’re expanding evening and entry-level classes, providing tuition assistance to more students, and deepening our commitment to youth programs, especially for under-represented teens who need safe, affirming spaces to create and connect.

At Gage, we believe art is more than a skill. It is a lifeline, a voice, and a way forward. Through inclusive, culturally responsive programs, we help people find healing, identity, and purpose. We do not turn anyone away—and with your continued support, we never will.

Thank you for helping us make art accessible to all.

If you’d like to know more about all the ways we’re planning to empower our youth, drop a note to Director of Advancement Sudeshna Dixit.

We’d love to share more.

Warmly,

Kathleen Allen
Executive Director, Gage Academy of Art
