This course will cover the fundamentals of drawing, building a strong base skillset upon which the artist can then move into other mediums. Basic perspective, shading, form, contour, and proportions will be covered using both life-drawing and imagined models. The class format will involve both demonstration and lecture, on topics such as light & shadow, materials, and various methods and techniques.

Required Supplies
- 18 x 24" drawing paper (Canson, Strathmore)
- Large clipboard for 18 x 24 paper
- 2 " binder clips
- Assorted drawing pencils range 2H, HB, 2B (Tombow Mono, Faber Castell, Staedtler Mars)
- Erasers; white stick eraser, kneaded rubber eraser, General's Factis soft oval soap eraser
- Long point pencil sharpener
- Student will need access to a printer
