2D Character Design & Animation

This is an introduction to design and 2D animation. The classs will start with character design (concepting for the medium of animation) and then focus on animating the character in believable animations based on the character’s design. Students will learn about design, simplicity in art, appeal, acting in animation, and some basic principles of animation. They will also finish class with a very short animation!

All students are welcome, but it is recommended that students have a bit of knowledge about digital sketching and drawing people/animals, especially the same character/design repeatedly.
