Dive into the intricate design of the human back in this 4-week live online class, where anatomy meets artistic observation. Using colored pencils, you’ll study the structure, form, and subtle contours of back muscles, learning to render them with depth and sensitivity. Each week includes demonstrations, guided exercises, and hands-on practice, exploring muscle groups, proportion, perspective, and how muscles interact under skin and respond to light and movement. You’ll learn layering, blending, and capturing volume, texture, and subtle color shifts. By the end, you’ll create detailed, expressive colored-pencil studies of the back muscles and gain skills to enhance all your figure drawing, from sketches to finished artwork.
