Draw at the Museum
Natasha Tripathi
$297
This class takes place not in a studio but within Seattle’s art museums, where students draw directly from artworks on display. Each session includes time for drawing, group discussion, and reflection on how close observation informs personal practice. Transcribing paintings becomes a dialogue with the past—an exploration of light, form, and color that deepens understanding and fuels creativity. Inspired by traditions at institutions like the New York Studio School, this course fosters a living relationship between artists and the museum, encouraging students to engage deeply with collections, build community ties, and discover how studying historical works can transform their own art.
