Unleash your creativity through the expressive power of ink drawing! In this class, students will focus on drawing Washington wildflowers, exploring a new bloom each week as inspiration. Using ink as our primary medium, we’ll learn how crisp, intentional linework can bring form, texture, and depth to botanical subjects. We’ll explore a variety of line and mark-making techniques, from loose sketching to more detailed work, and learn how different kinds of lines can be used to create texture, volume, and movement. Students will build confidence in observing plant forms, breaking them down into simple shapes, and layering lines to create expressive, finished drawings. Whether you’re new to drawing or looking to deepen your ink skills, this 5-week class is perfect for anyone who wants to slow down, observe nature closely, and develop a personal approach to ink drawing.
