Encaustic Series: Into the Landscape

This class will cover basic encaustic painting techniques for the encaustic and non-encaustic artist while painting the landscape. What kind of landscape you paint is your choice! It could be the landscape of the land, water, sky… Do you like immediacy and flexibility? The medium of encaustic coould be for you! In this workshop, students will work from photo references that they provide.
Class topics include:
• Using a heated pallet
• Applying the paint, and scraping to remove it
• Using drawing materials with encaustic paint
• Fusing with a heat gun or torch
Required Supplies
$50 material fee will be paid directly to the instructor for all supplies on the first session of class.
