Paint Yourself: Self-Portrait Painting Masterclass
Ashwini Sadekar
$430
Over five weeks, paint your own self-portrait from observation or photos, learning to see yourself as artists have for centuries as a subject alive with light, form, and personality.
Winter invites introspection, and this class turns your inner world into a portrait capturing likeness and presence.
Explore self-portraits from Renaissance and Baroque masters to contemporary painters for inspiration.
Each session includes live demos, progressing from compositional color study to finished portrait. Learn composition, drawing with paint, color mixing, anatomy, clothing, and environment to unify your work.
Instructor Ashwini guides reference selection, setup, and technique. By course end, you’ll have a finished self-portrait grounded in timeless methods, refined under guidance.
Weekly sessions: Week 1: color study; Week 2: start portrait; Week 3: painting the head; Week 4: clothing & environment; Week 5: refinement & completion.
