All Levels
This intensive workshop focuses on building a portrait through direct color blocking, simplifying the head into emphatic gestural shapes with controlled value and temperature relationships. Structure will be established through masses of color and tone rather than linear drawing. We’ll concentrate on seeing color relationships accurately, efficient color mixing, and creating likeness through shape and color relationships. The goal is to develop a strong, immediate color foundation for the portrait that supports both realism and expressive freedom.
