Looking for something fun and engaging for your student to do during spring break? Take an art class!

Storybook Worlds & Characters is a creative art adventure where kids bring their imagination to life! In this spring class, students will design their own original characters and build unique worlds inspired by their favorite stories. Through drawing, painting, mixed media, and simple storytelling exercises, young artists will explore how to create heroes, everyday characters, animals, and the environments they live in. Students will learn the basics of character design (facial expressions, clothing, personality traits), world-building (landscapes, settings, mood), and visual storytelling. We will practice sketching, adding color, creating backgrounds, and developing simple story plots to go along with their artwork.
