Class topics will include:

- Establishing the brightest and darkest points of the subject
- Defining the light and shadow masses
- Finding the gesture of an object
- How to draw volume
- Using positive and negative space to your advantage
- The erasure as a drawing tool
Required Supplies
- Willow and compressed charcoal
- Hard and kneaded drawing erasures (erasers)
- A pad of drawing paper, 18 by 24 inches
