Youth Atelier

A New Studio-Based Program for Teen Artists

Gage Academy of Art is launching the Youth Atelier, a new intensive program designed for teen artists ages 15–18 who are ready to deepen their skills, strengthen their studio practice, and explore what it means to grow as an artist.

Modeled after Gage’s adult Atelier programs, the Youth Atelier offers a focused, studio-based learning experience with an emphasis on foundational art skills, critical thinking, and creative development. Students will work primarily in drawing and painting, with a strong focus on observation and working from life.

This nine-month program is designed as a building curriculum, allowing students to return year after year to continue expanding their technical abilities, creative confidence, and personal visual language.

Who the Youth Atelier is For

The Youth Atelier is ideal for students ages 15-18 who are serious about their art and curious about pursuing a creative future.

Through consistent studio time, guided instruction, and a supportive learning environment, students will begin developing the habits, skills, and discipline that form the foundation of a strong artistic practice. The program is especially well suited for teens who may be considering art school, portfolio development, or a career in the visual arts.
