A newcomer to the Pacific Northwest, Mary is coming off of a 7-year tenure serving in various roles at the National Academy of Design in New York including School Administrative Director and, most recently, Interim Executive Director.  While there, she focused on managing organizational change by building partnerships, redefining and updating the mission and its implementation, and expanding the institution's reach to new diverse audiences.

Mary holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics with a concentration in innovation and entrepreneurship, and an MA in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Past adventures include teaching French and Latin, translation, and advising international artists on immigration processes.

As a Board Trustee, Mary aims to support artists administratively so they have more time to devote to their craft. Currently, she also volunteers with animal care organizations in the Seattle area and works for an international NGO.
