Drawing the Portrait

In this 10 session course, students will explore drawing the portrait via various techniques: tonal value drawings, contour line, positive-negative, blind drawing, etc. In each session, we will look at contemporary artists and portrait representations throughout art history to gain inspiration and guidance. Students will walk away with a broad drawing technique repertoire, and will develop their confidence in different forms of representations.
