Creating The Painterly Monoprint

Learn multiple printing techniques in this creative exploration of how printmaking without a press can create many layered works that explore the best of painting and printmaking at the same time. Every tool and technique you will try in this workshop can be used in your own home. Participants will use gel plates, try out the new “Open” acrylics which have an extended drying time, learn how to create easy to cut stencils, and discover the possibilities of pochoir printing. The results are unfailingly amazing, combining color theory, glazing and impasto techniques, monoprinting variations and more. Student works will be suitable for framing.
