If you love painting still life, this course if for you! This information rich and fun workshop focus on expressing contemporary life with the use of still life objects around us. We will talk about painting process from start to finish, topics for discussion include setting up, composition, techniques involved from beginning layer to finishing layer. Students can use oil or articles paint. All level is welcome.
Required Supplies
- Graphite pencil, eraser and a note book
- Canvas board or stretched no less than 12” x 16”
(You could also use Canson Canva paper)
- Oil color :
Bring the color you already have is good!
If you don’t have any paint, start with these:
Limited palette :
Titanium white, Yellow ocher, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue.
Optional extended palette:
Cadmium yellow medium, cadmium yellow lemon, cadmium red medium, alizarin crimson, cadmium green light, sap green, viridian and cobalt blue, dioxin purple
- Palette that you already have wood, glass or paper palette
- Flat and filbert brushes small no. 2, 4 and medium size ones 6, 8
- Palette knife
- Gamsol and paper towels
