From Pencil to Paint: Landscapes

This class introduces students to the basics of drawing and watercolor painting through fun, hands-on exploration of natural and imagined landscapes. Students will learn how to observe the world around them, sketch using simple shapes, and create depth with foreground, middle ground, and background. As the class progresses, students will transition from pencil drawings to watercolor techniques such as washes, layering, and texture. By the end of the class, students will have created multiple landscape artworks and gained the confidence to draw and paint independently, encouraging creativity and artistic exploration beyond the classroom.
