Intro to Etching

We will make intaglio prints from copper plates. Techniques include dry point, hard ground line etching aquatint, plate preparation, and printing. Students will also learn to make their own etching paper and ink. Bring a 6”x4” copper plate and etching needle, both available at art supply stores. No prior printmaking experience required. All levels welcome.
