Intermediate
Are you an intermediate to advance watercolorist who enjoys the structure of a class, but wants to work on your own projects? Do you enjoy constructive feedback in a supportive art studio environment? Join a group of artistic peers for a weekly painting session to work on your own projects, while getting guidance from Gage teaching artist Willow Heath. Willow has been exhibiting her paintings in galleries and museums and instructing art courses for over 20 years. Willow brings a wealth of artistic experience to the entire process, from creation to execution to presentation. This class focuses on watercolor and nurtures whichever style or theme is your artistic vision; loose, illustrative, realistic, imaginative, nature, portraits, or still-life. Wherever you start, this class will help you reach goals and push your creative visions further. Painting sessions are supplemented by discussions, prompts, demonstrations, and goals.

Required Supplies

Bring your chosen watercolor supplies and we will discuss other supplies that might benefit your process as we go. Don't forget your paper, paints, brushes, palette, container for water, drawing materials, masking fluid, paper towels, or anything else you might need. We will take photos, search for references, create still-life arrangements as needed, sketch, collage, and print as needed.
