Pike Place Sketchwalk

Explore, learn about, and sketch Seattle's best known market. We'll spend time in and outside several buildings in Pike Place, walking through the hidden passages and capturing market scenes in our sketchbooks. Instructor will give light instruction and demos on the following topics: - how to capture people in scenes - using a limited palette (markers) - starting a sketch with watercolor - perspective basics - showing depth This class is for young artists who already have the foundations of drawing, who want to practice sketching from observation. Students should be comfortable walking through and standing around busy areas -- though we try our best to find out-of-the-way places to draw.
