Pop Art + Wonderful Wizard of Broadway

Pop Art with Dovey Martinez

Pop Art camp is a bold, colorful, and fun art class where kids explore how everyday things can become exciting works of art! Students will learn about famous Pop Art artists like Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, and Claes Oldenburg, and discover how comics, repetition, bright colors, and ordinary objects inspire creativity. Each day begins with playful games to get imaginations moving, followed by hands on art projects like comic style self portraits, colorful repeated prints, giant drawings or sculptures of favorite snacks and toys, and mixed media pop art collages. Throughout the week, students will practice drawing, printing, collaging, experimenting with materials, and expressing their own ideas confidently. The week ends with a final Pop Art Star artwork and a gallery style celebration where kids share and celebrate their creations. This class encourages creativity, confidence, and having FUN with art!

Wonderful Wizard of Broadway with Sophie Schatz

Students will watch and learn all about the different productions of the Wizard of Oz, and create their own Broadway inspired magical dance show!
