Portrait Drawing from Photos
Drawing portraits from photographs is a great way to practice building your skills without a model. . In this class you'll learn how to accurately portray your subjects while overcoming the challenges of working from photos. Instructor will provide some reference images, front, profile and three-quarter views. Demonstrations will be given on rendering facial features, and hair. Additional references on basic anatomy structure, and children's facial structure will be provided.
Goals:
- Learn several methods of transferring images, transfer tracing, and grid method.
- Learn rendering techniques to create a realistic 3 dimensional surface
- What to look for in a photograph and how to avoid mistakes

- White eraser
- Kneaded eraser
- Sketch book or drawing paper
