Portrait Painting in Oils/Acrylics

Learn to paint realistic portrait paintings using oil or acrylic paint. Students will develop original portrait paintings from live models and discover essential concepts and techniques for capturing an accurate likeness, mixing flesh tones, paint application, and how to imbue their work with a compelling sense of light, atmosphere, and form. Lectures, demonstrations, and individual critiques will be provided during weekly lessons.
