Contramestre Caxambu

Contramestre Caxambu started his Capoeira Angola training with Mestre Jurandir in 1996, with the group Fundação Internacional de Capoeira Angola. These days he supports Mestre Silvinho of the same group, teaching weeklly classes, and at area elementary schools after school programs thru Arts Corps.

Teaching kids and adult classes since the late 90s, he encourages his students to go beyond what they thought was possible.

Contramestre Caxambu is also an accomplished musician, makes musical instruments, and likes bicycling, hiking, swimming, and paddle boarding.
