Kate Powell

Kate Powell is an artist living and working in Seattle, Washington. Kate is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts Low-Residency MFA program (2024) and is a recent Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant awardee (2025). Her first solo gallery exhibition, Material Girl, was presented at D2 Gallery in Spokane, WA in 2025. Kate is currently invested in parallel practices of observational painting, in which she combines found and chosen objects into ambiguous arrangements that advance an expansive definition of still life, and imaginative drawing, in which she synergizes graphic impact and narrative content.
