This is not your normal pen and ink class. On one hand this course will be focused on creating natural inks and on the other hand this class will explore how to draw and paint with these inks. For the ink making portion, students will learn various methods of historical ink making, recipes, and how lightfastness plays into ink. Everyone will leave with four different kinds of ink. For the drawing portion of the class students will learn fundamental properties of strokes and pen control, different techniques for shading, and how to paint with ink.
