Required Supplies
- Paint - A full chromatic palette is recommended:
- Red
- Orange
- Yellow
- Green,
- Blue
- Violet
- Magenta
- White
The pigments the instructor will be using: Cadmium Red (light or medium), Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Yellow Light, Phthalo Green, Phthalo Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Dioxazine Violet, Quinacridone Magenta, Titanium White.
- Assortment of Brushes, bristle and smooth. Instructor prefers Rounds, sizes 2, 4, 6 (Princeton Ashley; Princeton Imperial)
- Large Palette for Mixing (glass is great, at least 16 x 20")
- Palette Knife
- Gamsol (odorless mineral spirits), with small dish or squeeze bottle
- Small Jug of Dorland’s Wax Medium
- Surface for Painting on: 2 sheets of Arches Oil Paper, 16 x 20” or preferred surface
- Board for Mounting paper to
- 24" ruler and Pencil
- Triangles/ straightedges
- Paper Towels or Rags
