Figure Sculpting Studio

In this course, you will learn fundamental methods for three-dimensional rendering through careful observation of a live model. You will develop advanced skills that will significantly enhance your ability to see and understand the human figure in space. Over the course of 5 sessions, we will work from a single sustained pose to create a clay figure suitable for firing. For this summer session, we will focus on a seated pose and work toward the rendering of a one-third-scale full figure in water-based clay. Clay and armature are provided. All levels are welcome.
