In this this class, we will explore the basics of science illustration like observational drawing, measuring/scaling, and rendering our illustrations. We will practice graphite, pen/ink, and watercolor techniques through the study of various specimens.

Required Supplies

Required:
- Drawing Pencils (2B, 6B, Ebony Pencil)
- Pencil Sharpener
- White Click Eraser
- Bristol Paper, Smooth Vellum
- Sketchbook for note-taking
- Micron Pen (any nib sizes)
- Magnifying Glass
- Watercolor set
- Watercolor paper, (hot or cold press 100% Cotton)

Optional:
- Natural objects (plant/botanical specimens, shells, bones, etc.)
- Toned drawing paper
- Ruler
