This beginner/intermediate science illustration class, we will build on our observational drawing and watercolor skills from the beginner class. We will continue practicing our watercolor techniques and begin to incorporate more advanced ink and graphite techniques into our illustrations. Prior attendance in the beginner class is not required, some prior experience with watercolor is recommended.

Required Supplies

Required:
Drawing Pencils (2B, 6B, Ebony Pencil)
Pencil Sharpener - White Click Eraser
Bristol Paper, Smooth Vellum
Sketchbook for note-taking
Micron Pen (any nib sizes)
Magnifying Glass
Watercolor set
Watercolor paper (hot or cold press 100% Cotton)

Optional:
Natural objects (plant/botanical specimens, shells, bones, etc.)
Toned drawing paper
Ruler
India Ink
Scratching tools
Ampersand Clayboard 4"x6" or 5"x7"
