Long-term Immersive Instruction

Gage Academy of Art's globally recognized Atelier programs are designed for artists pursuing mastery in painting, drawing, or sculpture under the guidance of internationally renowned teaching artists. Founded by Juliette Aristides, who directed the Aristides Atelier from 1999 to 2022, Gage continues this tradition with eight Ateliers currently offered.

Students in an Atelier will immerse themselves in a communal environment that fosters dedication, skill development, and a commitment to fine arts as a career.

"The best move of my artistic career was joining a Gage atelier. Hands down."

Choosing an Atelier

Gage offers Ateliers in both classical and modern traditions. You will study with your chosen artist and their students for an academic year. Before selecting an Atelier, research the programs to find the best fit. Once you've decided, schedule a tour with the instructor or apply directly.

Applicants should be motivated to learn and committed to a long-term (1-4 years) artistic development journey. Some Ateliers may require a portfolio submission, but an advanced portfolio is not essential. Instructors seek students with self-discipline and dedication.
